It's National Literacy and Numeracy Week!
National Literacy and Numeracy Week promotes the importance of literacy and numeracy as fundamental lifeskills and highlights effective literacy and numeracy practices on a national scale. It will be held from 31 August to 6 September 2009 across Australia. The theme for the Week in 2009 is Getting the Basics Right.

Two events are occurring throughout the college to recognise National Literacy and Numeracy Week.

Reach For The Stars
This involves collecting and recording data ideas and investigating activities for the "Reach for the Stars" Mathematics Investigation. All classes are invited to participate.

Reading Safari
Wednesday 12:45 is our Reading Safari - all students can take their lunch, a picnic blanket and a great book and enjot a time of reading together on the oval. In the event of inclement weather, we will read in the Sports Hall before going to lunch.
