20 November 2009 Yearbook Orders The 2009 yearbook will soon be completed and sent to the printer. All classes from Prep to Year 12 will feature in the yearbook, and we encourage as many families as possible to place an order. We expect to have the finished product available for distribution on the student free days in 2010.
The cost of the yearbook is $18.00 per copy. A few families paid this money with their levies eariler in the year, but most have not yet ordered. Orders with payment are required at one of the college offices by Friday 4 December.
23 October 2009 November P&C Meeting Postponed Due to the College Awards Night being on the third Tuesday in November, the P&C Meeting will be held a week later, on Tuesday 24 November, at 7:00pm in the Sports Hall.

6 October 2009 Uniform Shop - October/November Promotion Order and pay for your uniform for 2010 in full in either October or November (conditions apply). This includes lay-bys finalised by November 26th. Fill out the entry form to go into the draw to win a prize pack. One prize pack will be given out for each month. All entries will then go into the major draw.
15 September 2009 P&C Trivia Night - New Date - Saturday 24 October 2009 The P&C advise that due to a clash with another popular local event, the trivia night has been moved to Saturday 24 October (previously 17 October). See the flyer.
11 September 2009 Uniform Shop September Promotion
Only 10% deposit is required on orders during the month of September, with an extended collection date of 26 November 2009. The first person to lay-by on each of our normal opening days during September, will receive a small gift.
31 August 2009 Online Yearbook Review Survey The survey has been extended for one more week, until Sunday 6 September 2009(Fathers' Day).
Optiminds - Earnshaw Hosts Successful Optiminds Tournament Congratulations and thank you to all our Earnshaw volunteers who supported us to host “The Optiminds Challenge” last weekend. Our students and teachers volunteered as monitors and judges and our P&C and parents did an outstanding job, catering for the hundreds of people attending the event. The day was a great success and we look forward to hosting this event again next year.
It's National Literacy and Numeracy Week! National Literacy and Numeracy Week promotes the importance of literacy and numeracy as fundamental lifeskills and highlights effective literacy and numeracy practices on a national scale. It will be held from 31 August to 6 September 2009 across Australia. The theme for the Week in 2009 is Getting the Basics Right.
Two events are occurring throughout the college to recognise National Literacy and Numeracy Week.
Reach For The Stars
This involves collecting and recording data ideas and investigating activities for the "Reach for the Stars" Mathematics Investigation.
All classes are invited to participate.
Reading Safari
Wednesday 12:45 is our Reading Safari - all students can take their lunch, a picnic blanket and a great book and enjot a time of reading together on the oval. In the event of inclement weather, we will read in the Sports Hall before going to lunch.
28 August 2009 Australian Business Week - Earnshaw Year 10 Team 'ACEs' It In Earnshaw State College's Year 10 'ACE' team is the overall champion team in the 2009 Brisbane Northside ABW Program. They narrowly defeated the college's Year 11 'Fusion' team to claim the championship.
24 August 2009 Online Yearbook Review Survey The Year 11 ICT class is preparing to begin work on the 2009 college yearbook and would like feedback on the 2008 edition. Provide your contact details and go into the draw for a $20 movie card. The survey will be available until Sunday 30 August 2009.
